Chez is a portable, modular open-source game inspired by chess, designed to be the world's most 3D printer-friendly chess set. The game system includes various printable parts like chess pieces and a board, all of which can be assembled with ease. The board consists of interlocking, four-unit modular parts that need to be printed two times in each color, fitting pieces of opposite colors together. Chez also offers a container for storing the game, with a main box containing three internal shelves and a bottom shelf for the modular board. This box is accompanied by a top piece and two additional shelves for holding chess pieces. An optional print for removable board modules is also available. The rules of Chez have been simplified in "Chez Basic" to apply to multiple chess-inspired games, with more complex gaming rules found on Wikipedia. The basic rules involve the king, rook, bishop, queen, knight, and pawns, each with specific movement patterns and capture techniques.
