Chevy Volt Cargo Cover Hook
thingiverse
A few months back one of the hooks that holds the cargo cover in my 2013 Chevy Volt snapped. The replacement was a pricey proposition for a cheaply made plastic part, so I decided to reverse engineer a 3D model so I could print my own. I spent more time on the model than I would like to admit - it's not perfect but it is pretty darn close. Others have successfully printed it and that's the proof in the pudding. GM's official name for the part is "Cargo Net Retainer Hook Clip OEM 25913048". This part may also be used in all models of Chevy Volt (2011-2017), as well as possibly other Chevrolet cars, too. Uploads include the STL plus the Solidworks model and STEP in case you want to try editing it. As a bonus, I've added a version without the pocket in the back - that's where the main structural defect lies that causes it to break in the first place. The pocket is probably there just so the part can be injection molded, but I left it in the model because I'm a perfectionist. The unpocketed one is probably less prone to breaking again. I also made a thread in r/volt on Reddit - check it out for more info and pictures: https://www.reddit.com/r/volt/comments/4zmijq/cargo_cover_hooks_breaking_gen_1_volt/
