Chevy Silverado Rear Window Latch (fix wind noise)
thingiverse
This latch should fix the annoying whistling sound coming from rear windows in Chevrolet Silverados built between 1999 and 2003. It measures about 1mm longer than the original part, which pulls the window shut a little further. I tested this on my own Silverado, and the whistling noise is significantly reduced compared to the original piece. I printed this latch out of PLA with 100% infill. While it should work fine, I'm not sure how it will hold up in extreme heat when temperatures soar above 100F degrees. The PLA might become somewhat flexible at those temperatures. A different material like PETG could be a better choice... time will tell. I found similar products for sale online that cost over $30, but designing and printing this part myself seemed straightforward enough, not to mention much cheaper.
