Chevy Colorado Front Pocket AMPS Dock
thingiverse
The tiny front pocket in the dash of the '15 and up Colorado is practically useless, even when stuffed with a wallet or garage door opener. It'll slide right out if you hit the gas at all, making it nearly impossible to keep anything inside. This "pocket dock" for phone or tablet gives the space some much-needed purpose. To use the dock, you'll need 10lb 'poster' tape - the kind that's a mm or two thick. Place a piece on the top and bottom flat parts, pinch it down tight, and insert into the dock. The hole pattern matches industry-standard AMPS. Once installed correctly, it's pretty locked in place. You're more likely to rip your phone from the mount than you are to pull the dock out of the pocket. There are three different versions available. The base version sits very close to the dock edge and is suitable for RAM ball-style docks or other longer, positionable docks. The medium-lower dock hangs below the pocket and is perfect for most phones and likely horizontal tablets. The 'long' version is ideal for lower-profile docks (like magnetic ones).
