I required a way to secure my phone. I possess a magnetic mount, but there's no flat area to attach a Scosche magnetic mount. Moreover, I desired my phone to be positioned near the 8-inch display. This wedge fills the gap between the display and the AC controls, providing a flat surface for mounting a device. My Scosche mount was modified with additional magnets due to my battery case adding weight to my phone.
