The 1957 Chevrolet, introduced in September 1956 for the '57 model year, featured three series models - upscale Bel Air, mid-range Two-Ten, and One-Fifty. The Nomad, a two-door station wagon, was produced as a Bel Air model. The Delray trim option was available for two-ten 2-door sedans. This classic car is often restored or modified, with its image featured in various media. Known as the '57 Chevy, it boasts distinctive features such as chrome headlights, fourteen-inch wheels, a wide grille, and famous tailfins. Bel Air models had gold trim including mesh grilles and front fender chevrons. However, these cars lacked an oil pressure gauge or voltmeter, with the base engine being the Blue Flame Six inline 6-cylinder. Production delays led to a reuse of the '55-'56 design. Ed Cole, Chevrolet's chief engineer, implemented changes that increased production costs but created iconic designs.
