Chestnut Pricker cnc/laser
thingiverse
When young children crack chestnuts, it's quite normal for their hand to get scratched by the pricker. To make this process safer even for little kids, one can use a clever technique where the arm is used to pry open the shell while the other hand holds the chestnut securely in place. My build was crafted on a desktop CNC machine by Stepcraft using 9 mm birch plywood and a spiral-toothed 2 mm flute. You can find more fascinating designs at https://www.zenziwerken.de/en/. Post-Printing The bolt needs to be sharpened with sandpaper before being screwed into the pre-drilled hole marked on the design. A machine bolt (size M5), two washers, and a self-locking nut complete the construction.
