Chesterton Windmill

Chesterton Windmill

cults3d

This model is inspired by the iconic Chesterton Windmill in Warwickshire, England, a structure that has stood the test of time. The three primary components are the tower, the windmill shaft holder, and the windmill itself. With careful design, it should be possible to fit all three parts on an Ender 3 print bed. I've also included a split version for users with smaller printers who may struggle to accommodate the entire model. When scaling this design, keep in mind that some components are relatively thin, which can make them more prone to damage during printing or handling. Scaling may also compromise the tolerances of the windmill shaft holder, potentially leading to issues with assembly. If you choose to experiment with scaling, please share your experiences so others can benefit from your findings. A degree of support is required on the underside of the building to ensure stable prints and prevent potential warping or cracking.
