To get supports out of teeth without breaking them, I used Meshmixer for mouth supports and Simplify3D for other supports. In Meshmixer, generate supports for 45-degree overhangs, delete all except the ones in the mouth. Export that, import it into Simplify3D, use the auto-support generator, remove the ones from the mouth, keep the rest. Easy! Just in time for Halloween... This is Version #2 of my chestburster model. Version 3 will have individual tail pieces connected via ball joints and will be finished before Halloween. It also includes a fixed dragon-belly and detail above the forehead. This is the full version of my older Halloween chestburster, with some extra details added in. Once printed, it sits up on its own without any support. I used supports in S3D set at 45 degrees for mine. Time to print: At 30cm high, this model took 18 hours to print at a 0.2mm layer height and 3% infill with 2 perimeters. Print settings: 70ms feed, 120ms travel. This chestburster can be printed at full scale (1/1). My test print was 30cm tall. Prints require supports, but not many are needed. Enjoy!
