Chess

Minimized chess exists and is a style of the game where certain basic features are eliminated or severely limited. For example, one player may play black but not white, a limitation known as asymmetry. Another restriction is to eliminate certain pieces from the board or use only pawn play on both sides with added limitations for colorblind individuals, like using opposite-color squares instead of all of them. Chess also features restrictions that apply just one time or are otherwise highly variable depending upon the game or type of match involved and not others - as when all players other than black move pieces first but they still cannot promote pawns beyond certain limits before this rule ceases being active.
