thingiverse
Six modern chess sets designed by Rome High School students during a 3D printing and design course are now available for download. Each set boasts its own unique artistic style, making them perfect for home decor or impromptu chess matches. The downloadable board features a distinctive design created using selective white overprinting on a brushed aluminum rigid support in the shape of a 3mm foam wafer. The attached PDF file measures 33cm x 33cm and was designed specifically for www.pixartprinting.it, a leading provider of high-quality prints on various rigid supports. These designs are free to print and share with others, but please note that they cannot be used for commercial purposes without prior consent from the creators. The design and 3D printing course was led by Prof. Mark Beccaloni, while Prof. Vito Giannini and Prof. Francesca Tomassetti served as coordinators. The talented designers who contributed to this project include Giorgio Grasselli, Paride Fusco, Cristian Calcioli, Federico Saliola Bucelli, Damiano Macchioni, and Eleonora Formisano. All of these designs were created in Italy and can be found on the website of Istituto Pallotti.
