Chess set derivative with jigsaw chessboard

This is a revamped version of Ohammersmith's Plywood Chess Set (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:855): all pieces are in one file for easy laser cutting, and a custom-made board adds to the unique feel of the game. The chosen material is 3mm Plexiglas or acrylics, available in two contrasting yet transparent colors. The chessboard remains unaltered (originally from puzzle.svg) while each piece is distinct, making for a 64-piece and 2-color assembly that adds character to the DIY set. It's a departure from traditional, boring chess sets, fitting well with an eccentric collection of boards. The maker has already created their own set, scaling it down to 95% due to material thickness. Future plans include designing a board outline and a storage box for the set. A note on photos: the King/Queen placement is incorrect due to a rotated board. To use the design, download the files, test-cut a piece, measure its dimensions with a caliper, adjust the file sizes accordingly, and repeat the process. Once satisfied, cut the white and blue boards, then assemble them. Similarly, cut the chess set pieces in two colors and assemble. Follow the rules, set up the board, and challenge others on gameknot.com while enjoying your unique chess set. Remember not to cut the chessboard puzzle; instead, use the separate _blue and _white boards for cutting. For assembly instructions of the chess pieces, refer back to Ohammersmith's original post at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:855.
