Kings To You! This custom-designed classic style chess king piece stands an impressive 4.25" tall, making it a show-stopping desk display. The surprise is the engraved words "Kings to You" on the bottom. Inspired by Edmond and Fernand's game in The Count of Monte Cristo film, I created this piece as a tribute to all those times when things go your way. The STL file is CURA-scaled and oriented for printing, ready to be brought to life. Printing this piece requires attention to detail, but the results are well worth it. Your bed must be level, and the printer head must be calibrated to ensure smooth prints. A good part cooling fan is also essential to prevent warping or other issues. This design looks particularly striking when printed with BanbooFill from Color Fabb, but I'm considering experimenting with BronzeFill and SteelFill as well. Print Settings: Printer: Rigidbot Big Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.1 mm Infill: 15% - 20% Notes: Print at least one piece at a time for best results, using 0.8 mm sides and top to provide added strength at the neck. Post-Printing: Clean up: The underside of the primary collar and the horizontal overhang of the crown will require some post-sanding to smooth out the surface.
