Chess Cheese: Emilie and Claude-8's Appetizer

Chess Cheese: Emilie and Claude-8's Appetizer

thingiverse

In LEO the Maker Prince, Claude-8, a robot, collaborates with chef Emilie to create an edible 3D printed chess set. Made from 3D printed cheese, the set was developed in conjunction with Cornell University's Creative Machines Lab by Carla and her team. The pieces are designed for FDM printing without sagging due to their solid, "2.5D" structures. To create a complete set in one color, you will need 6 pawns, 2 rooks, 2 bishops, 2 knights, 1 king and 1 queen; alternatively, the chess_set_complete file can be printed. However, note that if your printer uses plastic instead of cheese, the pieces cannot be eaten at home like Claude-8's.
