This automated build platform creation features a 13" square chessboard/checkerboard (equivalent to 33cm for metric users). It comprises 401 pieces, including 256 connectors, 64 top pieces, and 49 bottom pieces. Additionally, there are 28 side pieces and 4 corner pieces. Printing this chessboard took approximately 44 hours of time. For optimal printing, first print a connector with a top and bottom piece to ensure a snug fit before scaling the connectors. The top and bottom pieces should measure 1.5" square. Extra files are provided for less tedious prints, such as a stack of four tops and bottoms or 20 connectors, all fitting on a 4x4 printing platform. Post-assembly, sanding and acetone brushing can be done to achieve a shiny finish with ABS materials; however, the puzzle aspect is also appreciated without further finishing.
