Chess Board

Chess Board

thingiverse

Designed for Egypt Chess. You can see my printed chess figures here: https://www.thingiverse.com/make:941452# It is a folding board (two halves) and there are magnets that hold the halves together. A tile is 5 x 5 cm and the whole board measures 42 x 42 cm. Each tile has four holes that hold it together with the base. The holes are 1.75 mm wide, so they can be joined together with a filament. A small piece of filamet is pushed through the pad into the tail. Each half has two parts that are connected via one row of tiles. I printed the pad in black, the tiles are printed with a centric infill of the top layer. The pad has holes for magnets at bottom as well, because the board will be also lid for box, where the figures can be stored. The pad parts are printed just once. There is needed 30 pieces of tile with the first color and 30 pieces of tiles with the second color. Then there are need two pieces of tile that cover magnet in the middle with the first color (tiles with hole at left corner) and two tiles with hole at right corner with the second color.
