Chess Board - 4 Section

This is a remix of Chess Board thing by TwistedDaylight. I liked the design, thinking it could be easier to print and more substantial. I encountered some issues getting everything to fit in place. To resolve this, I resized the yellow tiles so they would fit within the board sections. However, after printing two part 1's and the first part 2 of the board, I realized they didn't align properly. Not wanting to discard the entire project, I decided to resize the tabs on part 2 of the board, allowing it to fit together without any cutting or sanding of the parts. To achieve this, I created a small test piece (cut copy) that helped me get the right size. Printing two new part 2 sections eventually resulted in everything fitting perfectly. Based on my experience, here's what I recommend: Print a calibration cube before starting to ensure your printer is calibrated correctly. Then follow these steps: 1. Print part 1. 2. Print a single tile to verify it fits and resize as necessary (you can adjust X & Y dimensions in the slicer but keep Z alone). 3. Print the small test piece (cut copy). If it fits, you're good to go. If not, open your 3D modeling program and slightly resize the tabs. I attached the tiles using glue, but be sure not to apply adhesive to the ones next to the tabs or they won't fit together properly.
