This is a piece of an altar at the church of San Jacopo di Ripoli in Florence. It shows three head-portraits of Cherubs and the Coat of Arms of the Deuzzi del Macco Simoni and Morelli family. A cherub is one of the heavenly beings who directly serve God according to Abrahamic religions. The many depictions of cherubim give them various roles; their main duty being the protection of the Garden of Eden.
