Cherry Pi III Printer: Mini V Wheel Carriage for OpenBuild Extrusions (magnetic design)
thingiverse
The Magnetic Pi (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:344408) initially employed magnetic balls as hinges but has been modified to utilize a spring-loaded string approach with distinct mounting locations for the carriage. OpenBuild 2020 extrusions have deeper v-shaped notches than originally planned, making the standard Magnetic Pi incompatible. As a result, this wheel carriage is designed for use with OpenBuild 2020 Extrusion and features magnetic neodymium ball-mounts using the original hole pattern. This solution addresses an outdated design, which does not fit either current stock files or my own setup found here: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:518398 A newer, OpenBuild-compatible wheel carriage with a non-magnetic design can be found in an adjusted STL file within the Cherry Pi forum thread located at: http://forums.reprap.org/read.php?178,361141,409638#msg-409638
