Cherry ML Keycap (1x1)
thingiverse
I created CAD files for Cherry ML Keycaps as I couldn't find any pre-existing designs. The spec sheet from here: http://eicom.ru/pdf/datasheet/cherry_pdfs/keymodule/key provided the necessary information to create accurate designs, except where my own measurements with callipers took over. Everything fits pretty well, considering that it was a little tight initially. One key point is to make sure the 'grain' runs vertically when printing on its side to prevent delicate pins from snapping off. This has yet to happen with this method even when subjected to moderate tension on the key. The best results were achieved at 20mm/s print speed and a layer height of 0.05mm, requiring approximately 80 minutes per print. It is recommended to test keycaps on an extra one before regular use in case of pin breakage, as removal with a scalpel can be tricky.
With this file you will be able to print Cherry ML Keycap (1x1) with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on Cherry ML Keycap (1x1).
