I needed a treadplate/chequreplate finish for my project but wasn't satisfied with the pre-existing Solidworks patterns. Thus, I created my own, which isn't an exact match on the tiles but is sufficient for illustration and distance renders. Attached are screenshots in both render and screen mode, the SW appearance files, and the JPEG used to generate the texture. Enjoy!
