Chemistry

This is a chemistry set I have made for, organic chemistry. This is a very basic kit that allows you to construct carbon based molecules. This set includes carbon atoms (black), oxygen or Group 16 atoms (red), hydrogen atoms (white), and Group 17 atoms (blue). This set also includes connector pieces for making molecules. How I Designed This Chemistry Set Instructions The way I designed this was quite simple, in tinkercad.com I made individual atoms by changing the color and number of holes it has by determining how many valence electrons it has. A quick tip is that these pieces were meant to be glued together. Project: Chemistry Set Students would be able to learn how to build/construct organic molecules such as hydrocarbons, substituted hydrocarbons, alcohols, and organic acids. This is a chemistry specifically used for about 7th grade and up for simple organic chemistry. You can make this your own by changing the colors if you really want, or use any kind of material you want. First, you print the pieces out, and then you build what ever organic molecule you want, it doesn't get any simpler than that. Students should be able to understand and help learn how to make a balanced organic molecule and understand valence electrons. MakerEdChallenge #ScienceProject
