In Southern Ethiopia, at the end of 2018, viewers tuning into Arte channel stumbled upon an extraordinary discovery: "A team of European and Ethiopian archaeologists is busy excavating newly unearthed Megalithic sites, which are a staggering ten times larger than Stonehenge or Carnac in Bretagne. In a steep gorge of the Rift Valley, thousands of colossal monoliths stand upright, their unmistakable phallic shapes preserved intact. Archaeologists and anthropologists date these towering statues back to the 10th to 13th centuries AD, leaving their origin shrouded in mystery.
