Chef's Knife Holder/Sheath

This is a sheath for a chef's knife designed specifically for an ~8" blade. The original concept was inspired by the Shun DM0706 Classic 8-Inch Chef's Knife, and its design was carefully crafted to accommodate various blade curvatures. The hollow portion of the sheath was given ample space to accommodate different variations in blade shape. The opening of the sheath is directional, featuring a simple clasping mechanism that securely holds sharp blades in place. For my print and my knife, this design results in an extremely snug fit, which I intentionally created for added safety. Unsheathing the blade requires some effort, making it more difficult for children or inexperienced users to access the sharp edge. Please note that printing without interior supports is recommended due to the tapered shape of the holder's interior. This orientation makes the print process remarkably easy when the build plate is oriented with the text facing upwards.
