Cheese Press Parts
thingiverse
I recently got into crafting my own artisanal cheese and discovered hard cheese required pressing with up to 50lbs of weight on the mold. Since I had an Anycubic i3 Mega printer, I designed this very simple press with a few pieces of standard 2 x 12 and 2x6 lumber and a couple 18" lengths of 1" plastic electrical tubing. The weights are standard 5lb Gold's Gym dumbbells. For more details on this press visit: http://kickthemallout.com/Homemade_Cheese_Press.html I also made a piece that fits perfectly into a 4" square mold I found online. This mold is designed for soft cheeses but works just fine pressing a block of cheddar using my top plunger piece with it. It makes a really nice square block of cheese.
