This is a new and improved version of my previous gimbal mount that shifts the gimbal's position nearly to the drone's center. The mounting holes are designed as slots, allowing approximately 20mm of adjustability. Please note that this design should be attached to the drone with the pointy end facing forward, opposite to how it was previously mounted. This makes it easier to access the thumb screws. Although I haven't printed this yet, I have some concerns about connecting the R/C control cables to the drone. My plan is to remove the hard plastic covers from the cable connectors and cover them with heat shrink, which should make them flexible and short enough to fit. For more information, please refer to the original design that inspired this remix. ====== UPDATE ====== As shown in the new photos, I've printed and installed this new design. Fitting the connectors to the drone's bottom was indeed tricky, but removing the hard plastic housing from the cable connectors and replacing it with heat shrink worked perfectly. With the camera positioned almost at the drone's center, I expect improved flight stability. Even when using a GoPro set to medium FOV, the stock landing gear is no longer visible in the frame or shot. The slight push of the GoPro on the mount accommodates an FPV feed via USB connector without any issues. As this design is now complete, I've removed it from my work-in-progress status.
