Thing 689333 modified so main guard is sturdier at 2mm instead of 1mm thickness. 4 pillars added to allow top to be glued directly onto pillars of bottom guard. This creates a more visually appealing design and even protects the props from damage if the cx10 drops, providing maximum safety for your device. The following instructions should be carefully followed: First, print the bottom part using 0.2mm layer height and 90% infill. Ensure that your 3D printing machine is calibrated properly; otherwise, pillars may not print correctly. When printing with PLA, remember to turn on fan cooling or the pillars will be badly damaged. The bottom guard is a crucial part, standing at a height of 2mm. Use layer heights which result in whole numbers of layers for this measurement. Layer heights such as 0.25 and 0.15mm may not work well since they produce fractional layers. A perfect choice would be layer height 0.2 or 0.3mm, giving you the exact number of layers you need. Next, attach the printed bottom part securely to your CX-10. Apply double-stick tape to ensure a snug and secure fit, but make sure it is removable without leaving any residue. Now print the top layer at 1mm height using an appropriate layer height for that measurement - in this case, I found 0.25mm works best. It takes just four layers and prints quickly. Lastly, carefully glue the top layer onto the pillars on your bottom guard. If printing with ABS like I do, simply mix a small amount of acetone with scrap abs to create a suitable adhesive, which dissolves easily when you want it gone. For PLA, using a heated needle to melt both pieces together works wonderfully and leaves no residue. And that's it - you've successfully completed the build! Note that while heavier than original design, this mod adds stability in flight, effectively protects your device, looks fantastic (especially if you print glow-in-the-dark ABS), but might slightly drain battery life due to its extra weight. If this is a concern for you, simply revert back to original design!
