Cheeky Tiki

Sometimes your Mai Tai yearns to stick out its tongue playfully. This whimsical creation obliges with a cheeky grin. I crafted this figurine as a playful sculpt in 3D Coat software. I enjoyed the process so thoroughly that I produced several variations. The print features a clear PLA, which was the material available on hand, and a coat of red rustoleum primer combined with black acrylic paint. Please note that since the model is a solid entity, if you want to create a hollow mug, it's essential to configure your 3D printing settings to zero infill and top layers. The inspiration for this piece was discussed at length during an episode of the 3D Printing Today podcast.
