Cheap & Safe 3D Printer Enclosure for CR-10, Ender, or similar: Using 10mm Dowels and Greenhouse

I was looking for an enclosure that would protect my CR-10S and Ender 3 from temperature fluctuations while printing sensitive materials like PETG and ABS. Since I often print in my garage where temperatures can soar, I needed a solution that would keep the printer safe without breaking the bank. After researching various options, I decided to create my own enclosure using readily available materials. To make this enclosure, you'll need: * 10mm wood dowels, cut to length for your specific printer model - These can usually be purchased in bulk for under $1 per 6ft section * A 3D printer to print the corner brackets - I used a cube design with three-way joints for added stability * A greenhouse-style enclosure, such as this one: https://amzn.to/31vxxpJ - These are typically priced between $7 and $12, depending on the vendor That's it! With these materials, you can create an enclosure that maintains a comfortable temperature range of around 100F in the printing chamber, even when the ambient room temperature is a balmy 75F. This setup works perfectly for printing PETG, preventing warping caused by drafts, and also protects ABS from overheating. As a bonus, I've included extra 10mm dowel pieces to create more complex joints, such as four-way or five-way connections, which can be useful for future projects that require framing.
