I bought extremely cheap filament off eBay a long time ago. After I finally managed to get rid of all that filament (1 kg), I was left with the spool as a leftover. Nowadays, I purchase my filament from dasfilament.de and plan to use the refills in the future. I don't want to print the entire master spool, so I decided to try myself on a way to upcycle the old spool. Old Spool Dimensions: Outer diameter: 200 mm Inner diameter: 78 mm Refill Diameter: Outer diameter: It doesn't matter as long as it is under 200 mm Inner diameter: 102 mm I drew something to convert from 78 mm to 101 mm and added holes so that everything can be screwed in place (3 x M4x60 + M4 winged nut required). There's also free space for zip ties. Hopefully, you'll find inspiration in my work.
