This is a custom frame designed to replace a basic Ebay GoPro Hero 3 stabilization gimbal made from cheap materials. The original version was entirely metal, but I wanted to create a lightweight alternative using 3D printing technology. In addition to reducing weight, I aimed to incorporate some modifications into the design. Specifically, a mounting point for a small FPV video camera has been added, as well as a slot for the accelerometer instead of relying on hot glue to secure it to the camera platform. The frame also includes a second plain camera arm that utilizes the included Velcro camera lens strap. UPDATE: Following testing, I added cable hooks to the base plate. UPDATE2: After conducting further flight tests, I adjusted the pivot point on the camera housing to prevent it from catching against the back motor. This modification allows the camera housing to be compatible with ISAW action cameras as well. Additionally, some trays have been integrated into the baseplate.
