I built a budget-friendly version of the Chip-E, my robot, because I believe that Chip-E is an excellent platform for learning about computer science and robotics, but not everyone can afford it. The original Chip-E costs $189.95, while my version should cost around 10-15 dollars, depending on how many parts you already have. Here are the necessary components: * 6 x 9g Servo - $6.60 * 1 x Infrared Receiver - $0.11 * 1 x Arduino Pro Mini - $1.26 * Some stripboard - $1 Additional required components: * An old infrared remote control * Rubber bands * 3D-printed parts * Foam rubber * An old USB cable * Crimp connectors
With this file you will be able to print Cheap-E with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on Cheap-E.
