Plug this into your C-foot for optimal performance, and you'll lose the ability to play lower Cs, but gain access to lower Bs. I find it surprisingly helpful in the third octave; emission becomes smoother, and the tune sounds richer, so I use it even when I don't have a low B available. To ensure air tightness and precise adjustment with your C-foot, apply a small piece of tape.
