Carving discovered on outcropping to the east of Chattonpark Hill, roughly one and a half miles ENE of Chatton in Northumberland. Recorded as 'Chatton 9a' within the Beckensall Archive, then added to ERA by the Northumberland & Durham Rock Art Pilot Project in 2008 with identical name. The stone features five cups, three having single rings while another has a ring and partial ring. Nonetheless, an extremely faint ring/partial ring may be discernible on the fifth cup in this model. The carvers also appear to have utilized or enhanced a rounded raised area on this flat stone by adding a central cup. Linear marks on the stone are likely to result from plough damage. This source imagery forms part of the NADRAP/ERA archive.
