Chatton 1a (Jan 2007) pt1
sketchfab
Carved outcrop on Chattonpark Hill stands tall in Northumberland. Exposed to full view, this large area measures 12.5m x 7.5m from west to east. The surface slopes gently, featuring cups, dominos, and variants with multiple rings, grooves, and enhanced natural grooves. This model captures the lower eastern part of the panel. Unfortunately, the 2007 imagery fell short in coverage, making a full surface model impossible. Recorded as 'Chatton 1a' on the Beckensall Archive, this stone was added to ERA by NADRAP in 2008. ERA Record: https://archaeologydataservice.ac.uk/era/section/panel/overview.jsf?eraId=121. This notable rock is marked on Ordnance Survey maps but surprisingly lacks scheduling protection. This model is created from 40 stereo pairs captured using a 5mp Nikon Coolpix 5400 by Joe Gibson in January 2007. The imagery formed part of the NADRAP / ERA archive. In 2017, Dr Aaron Watson crafted a complete surface model: https://skfb.ly/6OrHI
