Boulder in probable modern clearance on private farmland near Chattonpark Hill, Chatton, Northumberland, is a notable find. It's believed to have been recently relocated, earning the designation 'Chatton 16' on the Beckensall Archive (BA). In 2008, NADRAP added this record to ERA and provided detailed information: in 2004, a single cup was discovered on the underside of the boulder, but during a field trip in March 2008, it was found that the stone had been moved upright and its underside was fully exposed. Initially, one circular, shallow depression was visible, but the new position revealed several irregular-shaped depressions next to it, casting doubt on whether this cup is man-made or naturally occurring. For more information, visit ERA & BA at https://archaeologydataservice.ac.uk/era/section/panel/overview.jsf?eraId=113. A 3D model was created from stereo pairs captured by Joe Gibson of the NADRAP Team 3 in March 2008. This imagery is part of the full NADRAP archive deposited with Historic England and Northumberland County Council.
