A prehistoric boulder, expertly carved, sits outside an Iron Age settlement and hillfort on Chattonpark Hill in Northumberland. This ancient relic is cataloged as 'Chatton 14' in the Beckensall Archive (BA), where it's described as a basin with two intricately linked cups. In 2008, NADRAP added this record to ERA, observing that the carving features a prominent angular stone, possibly quarried from the east side. The motifs on this stone are visible along its northern edge, showcasing at least two bowls or cups set into a naturally weathered depression, as well as a channel leading into the bowl from the southeast. Whether these markings are entirely natural, enhanced by nature, or artificially created remains undetermined. ERA and BA information can be accessed through https://archaeologydataservice.ac.uk/era/section/panel/overview.jsf?eraId=102. This digital model presents only the upper surface of the boulder and was created from four stereo pairs captured by Joe Gibson (NADRAP Team 3) in January 2007. The imagery forms part of the comprehensive NADRAP archive deposited with Historic England and Northumberland County Council.
