Chatton 13 (March 2006)
sketchfab
Carved outcrop on Chattonpark Hill, Northumberland. This exposed area measures around 2.5m x 1.3m. NADRAP/ERA describe: "Panel stands out for distinctive peck marks showing cups and grooves possibly left unfinished. Evidence of quarrying damage to panel is clear, along with intentional markings for further stone cutting. Four cups form a slightly curved line, fed by a peck-marked groove. Another group of four other cups are placed equidistant in a line. A third line is formed by three cups, the outer cups larger and deeper than the central one. A groove appears to be of human origin but its age remains undetermined. Quarry marks are evident where stone was prepared for cutting." Recorded on the Beckensall Archive as ‘Chatton 13’, it was added to ERA in 2008. ERA Record: https://archaeologydataservice.ac.uk/era/section/panel/overview.jsf?eraId=111 A model created from 3 stereo pairs captured by Joe Gibson in March 2006. The imagery formed part of the NADRAP / ERA archive.
