ChatterBox Teeth - Wind-up

The Windup ChatterBox Teeth is a collaboration between MakerBlock and I for the MakerBot United Competition, with a new collaborator syvwlch. If you like it, please click 'like'! The teeth are inspired by gag store items or "The Joker" in Batman, and are two-toned due to filament change during printing. The wind-up mechanism uses a clock spring from a Dollar Store Easter Toy (a Harley Riding Easter Bunny was sacrificed), which drives a Geneva Drive that opens and closes the teeth. However, the mechanism is not working properly, with fast chattering teeth and rapid spring energy expenditure. The project has a few days left in the competition, so collaborators are welcome to help solve the issue. To create the Windup ChatterBox Teeth, print Bottom and Top Teeth with red ABS changing to natural ABS at the gum line. Print the listed Geneva Drive file and Gear 1 & 2. Obtain a strong clock spring from a heavier dollar store toy for best results. Be careful when breaking the toy case open as it may cut you. Follow the picture instructions on the left for assembly, ignoring some steps. Remember to bend the spring before slipping it into the housing and bolt the assembly to the bottom teeth. All fasteners are M3 sized. The pictures are from an older version, but the files can be downloaded from Thingiverse.
