Tested and validated. Here's the version 3 of the latch (version 2 was too complex and not reliable), it avoids making a big hole in the door, you will only have four small screw holes (I used the same entrance as v1). I use it to let cats enter the room but not dogs. Pay attention when installing, leave at least 15mm between the block attached to the door and the edge of the door. Otherwise, you won't be able to close the door due to the door frame. To open and close, just put your finger under the cotter pin on the side of the door and push it up. Then, if you want to close the door, you can fold down the arm and close the door normally. Note: I recommend fixing the whole assembly a little above the handle, of course, there will be more force applied to the assembly if strong dogs try to pass through, but it will prevent you from pulling everything apart at night because you forgot the system! For those who want to modify starting from version 1, the cotter pin and block attached to the door frame remain unchanged. Instructions In principle, we need to stick together the two parts of the cotter pin, but it also works in a tightly assembled assembly. The V3 cat door latch is designed for a left-opening door. I've added the right-opening cat door block
