Chase Tomb Group

A group of ancient tombstones stands proudly in Oak Grove Cemetery, La Crosse, Wisconsin. Among them, the stone of Jacob Chase catches the eye, bearing the inscription "born February 1797" and "died November 8, 1865". Nearby, a similar marker bears the name of Lucius Chase, who met his untimely demise on February 29, 1861, at just 23 years old. Not to be forgotten is Sarah Chase, whose life spanned nearly nine decades, as evidenced by her birth date "September 2, 1805" and death date "April 22, 1894".
