Charmed "Book of Shadows"

This is the logo from the front cover of the "Book of Shadows" from the TV series "Charmed". My girlfriend is a huge fan of this show so I created this logo on Tinkercad by studying some images I found online, which probably isn't entirely accurate but my girl said it looks fine. I have plans to make a "Book of Shadows" replica prop for her, so I've already test printed one and painted it up, attaching it to her laptop. At full scale, this logo measures approximately 130mm at its widest point across, but you can easily scale it to fit your needs. Depending on your printer, you might encounter issues with it lifting off the print bed due to its large surface area. I had a bit of trouble with that myself, so be prepared for it. Have fun and share your prints with me. Update: 20 April 2018 I'm currently working on the spine, which involves three new files that fit together to create the outer part of the spine. It will eventually have dark green leather look vinyl stretched over it and glued in place. I've decided to use A3 pages for the book, as all the replicas I've seen so far appear to be A4 but I believe the original book was closer to A3 in size. If anyone knows more about this, please let me know! I'm working on the inner part of the spine that will hold the pages together. I'll update with these files soon. To assemble the replica correctly, make sure to clear all infill from the holes for the interlocking tabs. I made the holes slightly larger than the buttons but still had to trim them a bit with a knife to get them to fit properly. I used 5-minute epoxy resin to glue them in place and then clamped them (see pictures). Enjoy and stay tuned for my next update!
