Charmander with Pokeballs Toothbrush or Pencil Holder
thingiverse
Charmander toothbrush holder or pencil case. The hole is roughly 45mm in diameter to ensure it can accommodate at least two toothbrushes. Enjoy! WARNING: The tail extends lower than the feet ( reducing the need for additional support) so place his feet on the build platform before slicing, and the excess tail will be lost. I'll make adjustments as soon as possible. I recently received my first 3D printer as a Christmas gift, and after experimenting with adjusting a non-level stock bed to get it working properly, I finally got my printer functioning with a glass surface for printing. This meant it was time to try my hand at 3D drawing/editing for the first time in ten years (and I needed a new toothbrush holder that my wife would approve of). The Pokeballs are hollow to store items. I still haven't calibrated any other settings, so my supports were getting knocked around, and I had to use tricks to ensure bridging worked properly. You can probably print faster than I did with a correctly functioning printer, but I let this run for about 2.5 days to get it right! Print Settings Printer: Sunhokey Prusa I3 Rafts: Yes Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.1mm Infill: 40% Notes: I printed this starting at 40mm/s with a 200c nozzle and 60c bed, then slowed down to a 50% feed rate and 190c nozzle and 55c bed before reaching his right hand, which required bridging. I resumed the speed once the bridging was complete. This model was sliced using Cura, and the supports were positioned above the build plate only. Honestly, it really only needed support under the arms, nose, and chin. Cura significantly over-supported areas where they weren't necessary, resulting in a mess. Post-Printing Due to the supports, this will require some cutting and smoothing. I sliced using Cura, and the images show no post-processing other than removing their supports.
