Charmander Pokemon Base
thingiverse
I created a lighted base for the Charmander model. The model needs to be scaled up by 150% from the original STL file. Scaling is crucial or the feet won't align with the LEDs in the base. You'll need to print four nut brackets. I used 8mm long M3 screws and nuts. The nuts should be glued into place inside the recessed nut bracket, then the bracket is glued into the "Charmie Base Top". There are channels for the brackets that fit perfectly, eliminating any guesswork. I used three 5mm LEDs with 150 Ohm resistors powered by a 3V AA battery pack. The LEDs simply slide into built-in holders. I uploaded a base for Squirtle as well, and the window for the power switch is located on the left side instead of the right. The base plates are interchangeable, so you can use either one depending on which battery pack fits best. I attached clear grip feet to the bottom to keep it from sliding around and to prevent the screws and switch from getting in the way.
