CharlStruder - fan shroud for 50x50 blower fan

I happen to like this extruder design so much that it inspired me to create a fan shroud design for my blower fan, and now you can use it too! This is actually the third iteration of the shroud, and I'm getting fantastic results printing (and cooling) PLA with it. The fan I'm using is from E3D (e3d-online.com/Electrical/Fans/50x50x15mm-12v-DC-Side-Blow-Fan), a great choice for any blower fan setup. The entire design was created with the E3Dv6 hotend in mind, so you may need to adjust it if you're using another type. October 19, 2015 edit: I've fixed the issue with the shroud mesh, and now it should slice perfectly every time. July 8, 2016 edit: For anyone who wants to customize their shroud, I've added a .step file that includes all the details you need. Have fun! Now that you have this fan shroud design, you can enjoy printing with your blower fan like never before! Instructions To start, print this entire thing using ABS or another high-temp resistant filament. It's essential for long-lasting performance. When assembling the holder, make sure to use only supports touching the bed and don't overdo it on the bridging – you want a solid connection. A small screw (10mm length, 3mm diameter) is necessary to connect the holder and shroud, but be careful not to overtighten or risk stripping the threads. You'll also need two M4 screws and nuts to secure the fan to the holder and one M3 screw and nut to mount this entire contraption to the extruder body. While exact lengths are a bit fuzzy in my memory, you should find these standard hardware components readily available at any reprap store.
