This magnificent work of art depicts Chaplin in his most recognizable role as The Tramp, a character that has become synonymous with the legendary actor, comedian, and filmmaker. Initially proposed on December 25, 1977, as a memorial to Chaplin's enduring legacy, the statue finally made its debut in 1981. After undergoing several relocations, it found its permanent home in Leicester Square in 2016.
