This larger than life marble sculpture captures Charles Martel's imposing presence, a Frankish statesman and military leader who dominated Francia from 718 until his untimely demise. He single-handedly halted the Islamic invasion of Western Europe at the pivotal Battle of Tours. Although the sculptor remains anonymous, the piece underwent meticulous cleaning in the 19th Century and now takes pride of place on permanent display at the Palace of Versailles. This remarkable object is part of "Scan The World", a groundbreaking non-profit initiative spearheaded by MyMiniFactory.
