Charging Station
thingiverse
I designed this charging station so that my family's tablets and phones wouldn't clutter up our kitchen counters. It attaches securely to a hutch in my kitchen. To print it at the size needed, I broke it down into three manageable pieces. You can actually print this entire piece on an 80% scale using the Prusa i3 Mk3. Looking back, this design requires a lot of support material, so I'm going to come up with a version that uses less soon. It's crucial to print this charging station on a high-quality machine. The dove-tail joints have a tight tolerance of only 0.1mm. While the Prusa handled it without any issues, my AnyCubic Kossel had problems fitting the pieces together. I ended up having to sand the joints quite aggressively before they fit properly. In extreme cases, I even had to use PLA Welding to ensure that the entire assembly didn't come apart.
