In an effort to de-clutter my workbench, this charging stand and bit organizer was created for a Skil Model SD561201 electric screwdriver. There are two components a Base and a Lid. The tray in the Base is intended to hold weights to add stability to the stand. I used pellet sized fishing weights in the tray.

The holes in the Lid hold standard .25" hex bits for the screwdriver. If you find the holes are a little too tight for your hex bits, use a drill and hex bit chucked in backwards to wear-in each hole slightly.

This project was printed using PETG on a Prusa i3 Mk3. I experience minimal shrinkage using PETG, so the tolerances are tight. If you use another material , you may have to adjust accordingly.

BE SURE TO READ THE USB CABLE SPECIFICATION BELOW

Print instructions

Category: Tool Holders & Boxes Summary

In an effort to de-clutter my workbench, this charging stand and bit organizer was created for a Skil Model SD561201 electric screwdriver. The Lid should be turned and printed with holes facing down using no supports (so the holes don't fill).

USB Cable Specification

A specific USB cable is required

The Base is specifically designed to accomodate a Startech.com USBAUB1MU USB "up angle" cable. The cable is press fitted into the bottom of the Base, so the molded shape is as important as the connector orientation.

The cable can be ordered from Amazon:
https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B00EANUQ5M/ref=cm\_sw\_em\_r\_mt\_dp\_U\_yBtFCb8FXSF9Z

Be sure to order the "up angle" version. Other up angle cables may not work. See the photos for a close-up view of the micro USB end required.
