Charger Cable Lock
thingiverse
Tired of people swiping your phone or computer charger from the office or public work station? Worried about leaving your laptop unattended at school library for a few minutes? This print-in-place wire lock secures wires up to 4mm thick, locking them to any fixed object with a padlock. The design is versatile enough to fit both stationary objects and existing Kensington wire locks. I've included an editable .rsdoc file so you can customize the diameter or shape of the locking hole to match your padlock or even scale it up for a wire lock. This flexibility ensures a secure fit every time. Print Settings: Printer Brand: MakerBot Printer: MakerBot Replicator 2 Rafts: Yes Supports: No Infill: 25 Notes: For added durability, consider printing with extra shells. While no solution can stop determined thieves with bolt cutters, this design should prevent casual tampering by hand. I've also included a loose version for printers that struggle with the tight version. Both lying-down and standing-up prints turned out well on my Replicator 2, so feel free to experiment with different orientations.
